Well, August is almost gone by, but I'm on time! It was a great month. We went to the ocean a couple of times, which made for a nice change. At the beginning of the month, Paul came for 4 days before going south. He took Carl to the Boat Races in Seattle and they both had a great day together.

On the 11th, Twanoh Falls celebrated Shannon's birthday - it was a great party, the weather was perfect and everybody had a good time. They roasted a 75 lb pig, and it was such a success that it was tentatively decided to have a yearly pig roast. Don't miss the pig roast photos, all in their own album.

We are making plans for going south and will be trying to leave in the middle of September. 

We are having a great time here at Twanoh Falls Beach Club again. The weather is a little rainier and cooler than the last two years, but all in all, it is really nice again. At the beginning of July we had a great "hoollaballoo": Carl's brother came to visit and we had asked if he could stay in the parking lot (with his 42-foot RV) for a few days and been given the ok. No sooner had he set up, than the trouble began. "It is agains the rules", and word went out by yelling and by e-mail that this was something unheard of and could not be allowed. Paul decided he didn't want to stay where he was not wanted and moved to Port Angeles, and finally, peace and quiet returned to the beach. Oh well. Andrea and Tara came on a Wednesday and we had a nice barbeque with oysters and steak. Bill happened to drop by, too, and we had a great time. This year, we are planning to leave by the middle of September. 

We left Hummingbird on Monday, May 7th. Spent the night in Kingman and had our RV repaired on Tuesday. They did a great job, and we went on our way at 4 pm, heading west, towards the California coast. We had a marvelous trip north, spent some time in the Redwood Forest, then further north along the Oregon coast to Florence and from there to I5. Arrived at Twanoh Falls on Friday, May 18. Charles and Jo-Anne were already there. This time, we had to park on the right side of the creek until the new septic system was installed. Make sure you see my May photos.

Not much happened in April, either. Jim and Connie left on the 19th and I had a bad cold for 3 days.
