    October

We saw a lot of new things in Idaho, one of them The Craters of the Moon. We stayed at a great RV Park in Glenns Ferry. The Park is attached to a Winery with a wonderful restaurant and a Golf course. Then we decided to head straight south since a cold front was nipping at out heels. We spent 3 days at Maple Grove CG (close to Salinas, UT), where the Fall colors were in prime and we got to visit a Salt Mine. We had snow one night (an inch or so) - it didn't last long, and the days were warm enough to have a fire in the evening. From Salinas we went to Bryce Canyon and from there to Fredonia, AZ where we had our mail forwarded. Then we spent a night at Marble Canyon CG, near the Navajo Bridge over the Colorado. The cliffs in the area are home to several California Condors, but unfortunately we did not get to see them. Our next stop was Page, AZ where we camped right next to Lake Powell and took a tour through Antelope Canyon. From Page we went to Cottonwood, AZ and from here we are just "dragging our feet" so as not to get to Yuma while it is still too hot. We spent 10 days at Cottonwood, with temperatures in the high 80s and low 90s, and today we are at Gila Bend and it must have been close to 100 degrees when we got here around 3 pm. We have full hook-ups here, so we might hang around for a few days and keep the airconditioner running.
Make sure to check out the new albums with photos from our trip.

    September

Not much happened in September until we were ready to leave. We went to the Farm a few times - Richie was ready to start work on the bathroom, so we decided to have him re-plumb the whole house.
September 22 was Docks-out day and Chili-Cook-off. The docks came out easy and Bob won the Chili prize.
On the 24th, when we were ready to leave, I got sick with an inner ear problem, finally saw the doctor on the 26th. He prescribed some pills and we finally were able to leave on September 27. We stayed at the John Day Dam and had dinner with David who was in Pendleton drilling holes. Next day we had tires put on the 4-Runner and then met with Joe and Cleo at the Wild Horse Casino in Pendleton: Finally, we were going South.
