We are still here at Twanoh Falls. The Board generously is letting us stay until we get our rental problems sorted out. Since we are living in our RV, we have our house rented out - this time to the wrong people. They've lived there for two years, and in all that time they were late with their rent almost every month, to the extent where, by May-June 2006, they paid at the end of the month instead of at the beginning. In July I finally sent them a notice to vacate, and, guess what? They are still there, but have not paid any rent since they received the notice. To make a long story short, I hired legal help, we went to court on October 11 and got a court order for them to vacate on October 31st.

We could have been gone south already for almost two months. Though the weather is fair, it has cooled down a lot and even on sunny days it is damp. Pancho suffers the most - he has a hard time managing the steps on the RV, and some days he limps. I hope we can get out of here soon: My niece Tara and her boyfriend will move into the house and they are taking care of the cleanup (it is a mess!) for us.

Things are looking up, and we are looking forward to November.
